Susan Briere is the IT Coordinator for Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union . She is passionate about technology's critical role in teaching and learning. She holds a BSMIS and MSIT from Marlboro College Graduate School.

Please talk with Susan about how technology is changing the way we connect and collaborate with others, how digital literacy makes it possible for students to access unlimited resources, to learn about any topic regardless of time or place, how using rich mediums such as video, audio, simulations, games, animation, infographics and ebooks offer differentiated learning via multimodal information, how digital communication enables teachers and students to collaborate locally and globally, making powerful connections . Part of Susan's role as IT Coordinator for RNESU is to model using technology to support RNESU's education goals for its students and school community.

Susan uses technology to connect, communicate, create, and collaborate. She especially enjoys using 3D virtual worlds, such as OpenSim and Minecraft as global maker-spaces where she connects with a vibrant community passionate about using technology to share powerful ideas, to plan and collaborate on projects, to experience the pure joy of teaching, learning, and creating together.
