Looking for an easy onramp to computer science for your school? This workshop will provide an overview of how to get started with Google’s “CS-First” clubs in your school or community.
CS-First provides easy, scripted, 8 week clubs which help students explore computer science while using Scratch to create animations, games, stories and more. Google has already done all the preparation. You just have to provide time, space, and creativity to help kids get started with coding. The workshop will also showcase another resource, pencilcode.net which is another environment with simple explanations and projects to get kids started.
