Technology can personalize learning for students. Technology also has implications for how educators work together. Actually, personalizing student learning is difficult if not impossible unless educators are first connected in a common development ecosystem, what David Hargreaves calls, “lateral innovation networks.” This session is for teacher leaders and other organizational leaders who are interested in exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of creating such networks. Topics to be discussed include Standards as a Tagging Scheme, Design Thinking, Rapid Prototyping, and Open Education Resources. As a group we will focus on how to apply these concepts in the Vermont educational context.
